In Outlook 2003, click on the "tools" menu and select "E-mail Accounts..."
Select "Add a new e-mail account" and click "next."
You will be prompted to specify the type of mail server you use. Bananatree uses POP3 mail servers. Select POP3 and click "next."
You will be prompted to provide your account information. Your "Incoming
mail server (POP3) is mail.yourdomain.com,
and your "Outgoing mail server (SMTP) will also be mail.yourdomain.com
if you connect to the internet using Bananatree dialup
(Where your domain is the domain, such as World12, that you have your
email address at, for example mail.world12.net).
You can access more account settings by clicking the "More Settings..." button.
Under the "General" tab, you can specify the name that appears on the previous menu's listing, as well as your organization name, and your reply email address.
Under the "Outgoing Server" tab, set Outlook 2003 to use authentication with same settings as incomming mail server when sending email .
Under the "Connection" tab you can specify how Outlook 2003 will connect to the internet. The most flexible and generally applicable setting is "Connect using Internet Explorer's or a 3rd party dialer," in which case Outlook 2003 will simply use whatever connection is available.
Under the "Advanced" tab, you can control the port and encryption settings for your account. Bananatree recommends setting your mail servers to not use a secure connection (SSL). The Incoming server (POP3) port number is 25. The Outgoing Server (SMTP) port number is 25.
You can also set Outlook 2003 to retain your messages on our server for a number of days even after you have retreived them, especially if you check your mail from multiple computers, this may be exactly what you will want to do.
After reviewing all of your settings, click "ok" to return to the email settings window. Click "next." Outlook 2003 will display a window indicating that you have completed the account setup process. Click "finish" to exit the new-account wizard.
