From the Desktop double-click on My Computer, and double-click on the Dial-Up Networking folder. Double-click on then Make New Connection icon. Enter Bananatree as the name of the computer you are dialing, then press Next.
Enter the Bananatree phone access number and area code. Press the Next button, then the Finish button.
On the newly created Bananatree icon, right-click and select Properties.
Press the Server Type button and select PPP. Log on to network should not be checked. Check Enable software compression. Only TCP/IP, at the bottom should be checked.
Click on the TCP/IP Settings button.
Server assigned IP address should be selected. Select Server Assigned Name Server Addresses. IP header compression and Use default gateway on remote network boxes should be checked.
Double-click on the Bananatree icon in the Dial-Up Networking folder. Enter your Bananatree Username and Password then check Save password.
Click the Connect button. The modem should dial and, after a moment, the system will display a Connected to Bananatree box with the connection time counting.
Once the connection is made other Internet applications, such as a web browser or email package, may be started. Pressing the Disconnect button at any time will close the connection.
